Newest Release!
2009 Gewurztraminer
Retail Price: $14.95
Wine Club: $12.71
Our 2009 Gewurztraminer was fermented dry to accentuate the spice and floral character of this lovely summer and fall wine. With a nose of cooking spice, rose petals, and pears it pairs well with almost any lighter dish. The flavors of light spice, peaches, pears, and light apple make it great to sip on it's own as the summer days fade into fall.
2009 Viognier:
Retail: $14.95
Wine Club: $12.71
Our first release of the summer is our 2009 Viognier. With grapes sourced from the Bitner Vineyard it has come out the gates swinging. Bright tropical fruit and a hint of vanilla the nose gives just a hint of the floral character that will develop over time. The palate echoes the nose of tropical fruit but with more stone fruit and melon. It's a perfect sipper for the summertime or with summer salads and lighter dinners on the patio.
2008 Merlot
Retail $18.95/750 ml; $7.95/375 ml
Wine Club: $16.11/750 ml;
$7.17/375 ml
Our 2008 Merlot, with its' aromas of berry and light oak, melds with flavors of cherry, caramel, and a hint of tobacco. Smooth and silky, it avoids the overly herbal character of Merlots with a tiny amount of spice to create a well rounded approachable character. Lighter tannins provide a smooth but structured mouth-feel to pull the elements of this versatile red together.
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
Retail: $19.95/750 ml
Wine Club: $16.96/750 ml
Our first release of Cabernet Sauvignon takes a page from the French. Aged in 3-4 year old French Oak barrels, this wine is well structured with cherry, hints of blackberry. Its lighter style combines slightly higher tannins and acidity with light oak. Just a hint of spice rounds out this wine and makes it a great wine for pairing with lighter beef dishes, pasta dishes, and wild game.
Petite Sirah
Retail:$21.95/750 ml
Wine Club:$18.66/750 ml
With the second release of one of Petite Sirah we developed an earthier more berry centered wine. We love its color, bold flavors, and aromatics. The nose is slightly peppery with cherry, black currant, blackberry, and a hint of oak. The palate is more berry than cherry with a touch of coffee, tea, cassis, cooking spice, and a touch of vanilla, Aged for 24 months in 3 year old oak it has a slightly oaky profile with higher acidity and tannin. It’s a small vintage so enjoy it while you can!
Late Harvest Wines:
2009 Riesling
Retail: $14.95
Wine Club: $12.71
Our Late Harvest Riesling is sweet but not over the top. Smooth and mellow with a touch of apple, apricot, and a pleasingly sweet finish it is meant to be served as a compliment to a great meal with wonderful company. It also fares exceptionally well drizzled over fresh cut fruit and french vanilla ice cream as a dessert in it's own right.
